Subhash Chander Goel Obituary (1943 - 2024)

Subhash Chander Goel, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and accomplished academic passed away peacefully on the evening of February 19, 2024. His family is profoundly saddened by the loss. Subhash was a Professor, Department Head of Electronics and Communications, and Dean of Postgraduate Studies for over 40 years at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in Ranchi. Subhash was an engineer at heart; he loved to build gadgets from scratch. In his free time, he also loved playing chess, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He was a caring and kind-hearted person, who always put the needs of other people first. He always saw the good in everyone. He is preceded in death by his parents, Champawati and Kanti Mohan Gupta. Subhash is survived by his loving wife, Krishna Goel; three beloved children, Ameeta Goyal (Ritu), Puneet Goel (Babloo), and Rahul Goel (Chunnu); six grandchildren; four younger brothers, Harish, Ramesh, Shyam, and Ram; as well as numerous loving family members and friends. He will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held from 9:00am - 12:00pm. with prayer services beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E.
